Harmony Olympics

Through music, the World is transformed. Music is an international language that can induce forgiveness between conflicting human factions, resulting in an atmosphere of harmony. The Harmony Olympics are alternative non-violent reactions to acts of violence. Harmony Olympics will highlight the cooperative nature of humanity induced by music, poetry, art, dance, healings and spiritual enlightenment. Harmony Olympics will be a reoccurring event, every four years, to empower the United Nations through enlightened leaders.

‘More than any other record, ‘War’ is right for its time. It is a slap in the face against the snap, crackle and pop. Everyone else is getting more and more style-orientated, more and more slick. John Lennon was right about that kind of music; he called it ‘wallpaper music.’ Very pretty, very well designed, music to eat your breakfast to. Music can be more. Its possibilities are great. Music has changed me. It has the ability to change a generation. Look at what happened with Vietnam. Music changed a whole generation’s attitude towards war’ (Bono, June 1983).

All proceeds from ticket sales will be used toward building and maintaining the United Nations Assembly of Harmony, along with sustaining future Olympic events. This new facility will be of "ayurvedic" design and located in an area that induces the feeling of harmony to all people that enter the structure. This structure will allow world leaders and decision makers to meet in an environment that creates equality, honesty, and collaboration. All meetings will be facilitated by world class mediators/healers. This structure, built by citizens of the free world, will become the shrine in honour of the many war related losses throughout the world. The Harmony Assembly is intented to empower the world decision makers into collaboration instead of competitiveness. In this structure, world leaders will be educated on the UN's "sustainable developmment" principles and taught human potential enhancement by leading facilitators (e.g. Deepak Chopra, the Dali Lama, etc.). Once there is an atmosphere unity amoung the UN delegates, they will negotiate on world issues.

Donations and sponsorship are encouraged and welcomed to help initiate the first concert. The method of donating will be posted in the near future. All donators and sponsors will receive recognition as a charter member of the biggest and most successful peace movement ever conducted.
